Hi there finally the first post, Warsaw! I got the 9.10pm Ryanair flight from Milan (Orio al serio) which lands at 11.15pm at Modlin airport. This is usually the cheapest flight, but this airport is farther from city center than Chopin airport. It takes 45min by taxi against 25min from Chopin. You can easily get a taxi out of the airport, and the cost is 160zl to get the center. I arrived at the apartment around midnight, just the time to leave the bags and go out again to enjoy the first night in Warsaw.
So, let me start with some suggestions on the best neighborhood you can visit during your weekend. Srodmiescie is the heart of the city, where you can find the main touristic attractions and enjoy the nightlife in the bar, pub and disco on Mazowiecka, Nowy Swiat and Powisle. Praga-Polnoc reminds me the East Berlin’s vibes. Post industrial style and street art everywhere. Saska Kepa is another fascinating place. Full of artists and hipster you can breath a great atmosphere.

PLAYLIST: here my spotify playlist to enjoy your weekend in Warsaw
I always choose something in the middle of what I wanna see since you know, there is not so much time. In Warsaw I think the best option is get an apartment instead of an hotel. There are hundreds of great apartments on booking or airbnb. They are cheaper and usually the owners are more flexible so you can stay a little bit longer in the afternoon on sunday. This time I booked P&O Zgoda Apartment 23rd floor via booking. The cost for 2 nights 4 people was 231€. This is a nice 23rd floor apartment in the city center, 5 minutes by walk from Swietokrzyska metro station, and 10 minutes by walk from Mazowiecka street, full of bars and clubs. This is a 75mq two bedrooms flat, clean and with free wifi that works well. The 23rd floor guarantee a great view. Alternatively last year I stayed at the Apartament Świętokrzyska two blocks nord. It is a great choice as well, same position, 12th floor clean and free wifi. Last year end of February the cost was 171€ 2 nights for three people. Of course the prices changes based on season and availability, so take these just as reference. I would recommend both for your weekend in Warsaw. Penthouse with terrace it’s another great alternative solution by airbnb superhost Bartek. It’s a couple of blocks on the west side of city center, but if you go there in spring you can enjoy the amazing terrace.
NOTE: Almost every apartment is asking ad additional fee (100-150zlt) for late check-in.
The first night we headed to the Sketch NITE on Mazowiecka. The club was full but well organized. We booked a table before so we spent the night on the top floor. Although the service was very good the Friday night party has people from 18-25 years old. And the music was dance commercial and rnb.
Second night we booked a table at the Syreni spiew. This is a bar/club on two floors. First floor bar, live music and a quite&small privè. The second floor is bigger with dj set and a room with tables and bar. Also here the music was dance commercial. The average age on Saturday night was 25-35. The place is very nice, but too small and crowded. I suggest to book a table in advance, but not on the ground floor since the small privè has 6/8 tables only and there is no music.
The other club I can suggest are Enklawa in Mazowiecka, and The View. This last one is a MUST SEE especially in spring/summer . It is located on the 28th floor of the Spectrum Tower skyscraper and has a terrace with a breathtaking views of the entire city.
On Saturday we had dinner at the Sketch w Teatrze Wielkim. It’s a classy restaurant/cocktail bar. The food is not the best in town, but it has a great atmosphere and you can stay there for a drink after dinner too. On Sunday morning we had brunch at the Aioli. I love this place. The food is great and on Sunday morning you can enjoy your brunch with a dj set.
Here some other suggestions for you Opasly Tom and Na Lato, to enjoy the polish side of food (the last one is very close to Syreni Spiew). Finally, if you are looking for something special go to Michel Moran. It’s a very good French restaurant.
NOTE: Almost all the restaurants are full on weekends, so I strongly suggest you to make a reservation before.
